ヴァレリオ・シュウジ は1998年生まれの若手ビジュアルアーティストです。2026年6月、初の個展 Anima を開催し、本格的な作家活動をスタートさせました。本展では、自身の最も内面的な芸術的探求を表現しています。女性の肖像を中心に、自伝的な思索や記憶を織り交ぜながら、アイデンティティ、記憶、そして感情の関係を探求しています。ポップ・フィギュラティブな表現を通して、個人的な体験を強い視覚的・感情的なインパクトを持つ作品へと昇華させています。
幼い頃から、シュウジは絵画を自己探求と自己表現の手段として描き続けてきました。日々積み重ねられた継続的で個人的な制作活動を通じて、イメージ、身振り、そして色彩への誠実な探求を深めています。
彼の絵画は、アカデミックな技法に基づくものではなく、内側から湧き上がる表現への衝動から生まれます。一つひとつの作品は、素材とイメージが自由かつ直感的に結びつく、親密な創作プロセスの結晶です。その表現は抽象と具象のあいだを行き来し、感情の揺らぎ、断片化された記憶、内面的なヴィジョン、そして心象風景を呼び起こします。
展示活動はまだ始まったばかりですが、絵画を「自己理解」「抵抗」、そして「存在」を探るための手段として捉える姿勢には、すでに確かな成熟が感じられます。ヴァレリオ・シュウジは現在も絵画による表現を探求し続け、不確かさを恐れることなく、それを創造性を育む場として受け入れながら、自らの芸術の道を歩み続けています。
Valerio Shuji is a young visual artist born in 1998. He made his debut in June 2026 with his first solo exhibition, Anima, a project that embodies his most intimate artistic research. Through a series of female portraits interwoven with autobiographical thoughts and reflections, the artist explores the relationship between identity, memory, and emotion. His figurative pop language becomes a means of transforming personal experiences into images of striking visual and emotional impact.
Since an early age, Shuji has used painting as a tool for introspection and storytelling. He has pursued a constant and deeply personal artistic practice since childhood, developing his work day by day through a genuine exploration of image, gesture, and color.
His painting arises from an inner expressive necessity rather than from academic conventions. Each work is the result of an intimate, often instinctive process in which material and vision come together freely and without mediation. His practice moves between abstraction and figuration, evoking emotional states, fragmented memories, inner visions, and psychological landscapes.
Although his exhibition career is still at an early stage, his artistic journey already reflects a mature understanding of painting as a means of knowledge, resilience, and presence. Valerio Shuji continues to experiment with and develop his artistic language, following a personal path that does not fear uncertainty but embraces it as a space for creativity.
Valerio Shuji è un giovane artista visivo nato nel 1998, esordisce nel giugno 2026 con la mostra personale Anima, un progetto che raccoglie la sua ricerca artistica più intima. Attraverso una serie di volti femminili, intrecciati a pensieri e riflessioni autobiografiche, l’artista esplora il rapporto tra identità, memoria ed emozione. Il linguaggio pop figurativo diventa così il mezzo per trasformare esperienze personali in immagini di forte impatto visivo ed emotivo
Da sempre utilizza la pittura come strumento di introspezione e racconto. Shuji porta avanti sin da bambino una pratica costante e personale, costruita giorno dopo giorno e alimentata da una ricerca autentica sull’immagine, sul gesto e sul colore.
La sua pittura nasce da un’urgenza espressiva più che da una forma accademica: ogni opera è il risultato di un processo intimo, spesso istintivo, dove materia e visione si incontrano in modo libero e non mediato. Il suo lavoro si muove tra astrazione e figurazione, evocando stati d’animo, memorie frammentate, visioni interiori o paesaggi mentali.
Il suo percorso artistico, ancora agli inizi sul piano espositivo, è già maturo nella consapevolezza del mezzo pittorico come strumento di conoscenza, resistenza e presenza.
